HOW THIS THING WORKS

You send us your fiction, creative nonfiction, literary criticism or visual art.

We hide your name.

We read it. If we love it, we publish it. Then we hide your name again. You will get no props for a long time. You can't even tell your friends because if you name isn't on it, they won't believe you.

Readers get to experience work without the author photo or bio, the credentials, the politics, the awards, or the social media following.

Once a year, on New Year's Eve, we hold The Unmasking and reveal who's been writing all this stuff, and we'll have some fun with it along the way.

We're curious about what happens when the work gets to stand on its own.
